We specialize in evidence-based, insurance-compatible care for adult and adolescent populations, including chronic condition management tied to obesity.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate, motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our clinical team. You will deliver comprehensive obesity treatment in alignment with Medi-Weight loss protocols and standing orders, manage prescription therapies (e.g., Phentermine, FDA-approved semaglutide like Wegovy), and play a pivotal role in our patients’ long-term wellness journeys.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits, including physical exams, EKGs, lab reviews, and medication assessments.
- Prescribe and manage weight loss medications, including controlled substances and injectable therapies.
- Administer in-office injections and supervise staff-administered treatments.
- Interpret diagnostics such as Tanita body composition and indirect calorimetry.
- Utilize standing orders and EMR templates to ensure clinical compliance and efficiency.
- Deliver Preventive Medicine Counseling (PMC) and support behavior change.
- Participate in patient retention efforts and engage in care call follow-ups.
- Collaborate with MAs, counselors, and the medical director on case management.
- Adhere to insurance documentation best practices and CPT/ICD-10 coding protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date credentials in the Advantage system and complete Digital Chalk training modules.
- Valid, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (APRN/NP) in Nevada.
- MUST HAVE A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PRESCRIBING LICENSE IN NEVADA - A DISPENSING LICENSE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED.
- DEA registration with authority to prescribe controlled substances.
- Prior experience in obesity medicine, family practice, internal medicine, or endocrinology is preferred.
- EMR proficiency and strong documentation skills (Medi EMR experience a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and patient education skills.
- Must complete Medi-Weight loss clinical onboarding and certification modules.
