As a Registered Nurse (RN) you’ll be joining a compassionate dedicated team where your skills, empathy and commitment truly make a difference in the lives of our patients and community.

Under minimum supervision, the RN assists the Director of Surgical Services with planning, organizing, delivering and coordinating patient care. The professional circulating RN‑OR supports surgery patients in accordance with surgical and nursing care plans and established policies and procedures. Uses principles of aseptic technique to establish and maintain a sterile field. Checks the updated schedule each morning and prepares supplies and equipment.

Reinforces and clarifies physician instructions and explains procedures to the patient. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN. Performs the role of a scrub nurse if needed; floats to other areas within Surgical Services if needed.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• ACLS and PALS required (or must be obtained by end of orientation)
