Job SummaryOur client is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed.
- Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
- Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
- Maintain medical equipment, ensure a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control procedures.
- Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required;
Bachelor's degree (BSN) from a four‑year college or university is preferred. - Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required.
- Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
- Primary Care nursing experience is preferred.
- Mon, Wed, Fri: 8 a‑5 p, 60 min lunch
- Tue & Thu: 8 a‑5 p OR 10 a‑7 p, 60 min lunch
- Sat: 8 a‑1 p, no lunch
- Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
- Health Benefits / Dental / Vision (Medix offers 6 different health plans: 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan. Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met. If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s)).
- 401k (Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1).
