Job Description

Essential Jobs and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Report to front line leadership
  • Work as a team member to obtain plant and departmental goals
  • Perform daily inspections on forklift
  • Perform trailer inspections prior to loading and unloading
  • Wrap pallets with shrink wrap machine and scan pallets when required
  • Load/unload incoming/outgoing freight as assigned
  • Safely transport, store and/or retrieve all product/raw materials/other to and from racks and designated locations using scanner for traceability
  • Practice First In & First Out product movement
  • Utilize all bar-coding equipment as instructed to identify and transfer product
  • Become cross-trained in the processing of UPS orders as needed and physically off-loading packages up to 35 lbs
  • Prepare Sundry orders for shipping
  • Pick orders for shipment
  • Perform housekeeping duties as needed or assigned
  • Maintain lot control traceability
  • Control of non-conforming product
  • Uphold safety absolutes
  • Work and perform to ISO standards, SOPs and established work instructions
  • Uphold quality standards and follow the absolutes
  • Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting
  • Capable of working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse where temps can exceed 102 degrees in summer and freezing temps in winter
  • Capable of reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Capable of operating a forklift and a walkie rider in a safe and cautious manner; six months of forklift driving experience required
  • Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs periodically
  • Capable of complying with all safety requirements including PPE (hard hat, safety eyewear, safety shoes, hearing protection, disposable mask, etc.)
  • Capable of maintaining an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Negative drug screen results
  • Work in a safe manner
  • Previous experience in material handling or shipping/receiving preferred
Contribution to Safety, Quality and GMP
  • Maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace by ensuring adherence to safety standards
  • Conduct required safety reviews of equipment and processes prior to project start-up
  • Support the accomplishment of your work groups through quality, timeliness and professionalism
  • Supply accurate and timely data as required by performance tracking and reporting
  • Apply resources to maximize effectiveness while assuring quality
  • Maintain a work environment that contributes to safety and GMP compliance
  • Adhere to established procedures, perform self-checking and pay attention to detail in the performance of your and your team’s work
  • Notify management of any problems with procedural compliance
  • Report observed quality problems and deficiencies in a timely manner
  • Make recommendations to management for improving quality and efficiency of your work
  • Oversee work to ensure projects are completed
