About the OpportunityReporting to the Set to Work (STW) Superintendent the Set-to-Work (STW) Coordinator is responsible for reviewing new work, reporting and maintaining STW plans. This includes the tracking, completion, review and delivery of all STW documentation and the rectification defects detected during STW, affecting the ability to hand over completed and operable systems. This is a permanent opportunity based in Henderson and Garden Island, WA.
Responsibilities- Provide technical knowledge and leadership as required during the conduct of all STW related activities undertaken by ASC on Collins Class submarines during activities conducted at ASC West (Henderson and Garden Island).
- Assisting the STW Superintendent in developing STW plans.
- Engagement with Boat Managers, Boat Superintendents, MTLs, Project Managers, Chief Test Engineer and Engineering to ensure the primary purpose of this role is met.
- Highly autonomous and self-motivated, demonstrating sound judgement, initiative, and an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to lead and mentor individuals and teams in improvement initiatives.
- Direct experience working within ASC value stream groups with strong interface to Maintenance - These typically involve Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Projects and Quality
- Engineering Degree or equivalent Trade Qualification.
- Background in Submarine or Ship maintenance and operation.
- Extensive experience on CCSM.
- Team Leadership experience.
- Intermediate computing skills (working knowledge of MS office applications).
- Certificate in Training and Assessment (optional but desired).
- Frontline Technical Delegations.
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
