Network Engineer - Onsite - Las Vegas

They focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare systems through various solutions, including electronic health record (EHR) support, IT staffing, and consulting services.

• As the Division Network Engineer you will assist with the design, implementation, monitoring, and support of the HCA Healthcare division network and security infrastructure.
• As a primary technical resource for the division you will be responsible for the set-up and repair of division and facility network infrastructure, including monitoring and diagnosis of network performance, and resolution of network-based incidents and requests reported to the division service desk, especially complex incidents requiring research and diagnostics.
• You will maintain the HCA Healthcare network and security environments by adhering to and supporting HCA Healthcare ITG policies and procedures, and recommend process changes that improve the implementation, maintenance and support of division and facility-based network equipment.
• You will assist with division and facility-based project planning, strategic planning, 24x7 on-call support with other members of division IT staff, and may be required to supplement facility-based, on-site support to technical resources.
• This will be a 6 month contract that she eventually wants to convert to FTE. Joining a team of 6 resources with 1 UC Engineer.
• This candidate will be supporting 3 locations in the Vegas/Henderson area.
• Will be onsite 5 days/week until they convert FTE and then can be remote 2 days/week.
• Interview will be initial phone screen with the manager.
• 2nd round panel interview through Webex.
• 3rd/final round onsite to meet the team and tour facility.

• Assist with the design, implementation, monitoring, and support of hardware and software to support the division network.
• Assist with the creation, implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for equipment installation, configuration support, and division network operations which improve service and repeatability.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support based on division ITG staff rotation and carry a pager as warranted, to assist with troubleshooting, coordination, escalation, and resolution of network or security-based incidents.
• Mentor and train division Network Administrators and Associate Network Administrators.
• Work effectively with division and corporate ITG personnel to ensure that division priorities and standards are achieved.
• Support networks, data architecture, applicable technologies and vendor products.
• Have a broad understanding of security systems, utilities, firewall, router, switch hardware and software.
• Understand network and routing topology.
• Apply diagnostic techniques.
• Use applicable communication protocols and hardware configurations.
• Apply statistical and analytical tools for network monitoring.
• Have a minimum of two years of experience with data networking technologies.
• Support networks, data architecture and applicable technologies and vendor products.
• Have a full understanding of network topology and diagnostic techniques.

• Mid level routing/switching experience.
• Wireless controllers.
• DNA center experience helpful.
• Firewall management.
• VOIP.
• Access points.
• Previous healthcare preferred.
• CCNA preferred.
• Certification in Cisco CCNA/CCDA preferred.
• A valid state driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable personal transportation capable of transporting both employee and standard work.
