Experience Desired:
Previous data center experience in a live production data center (3-5 yrs);
Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools are critical, NLYTE (3-5 yrs);
Experience with CAD and Visio (3-5 yrs);
Ability to prioritize workflows (3-5 yrs)

Responsibilities- Supports data center infrastructure by installing, maintaining and repairing hardware in order to accommodate Data Center growth
- Act as first level support to data center owned hardware
- Performs data gathering and analysis and provides basic summary reporting in support of information technology projects
- Assists more senior analysts and IT management in evaluating implemented solutions and practices for continuous improvements
- Performs a variety of tasks in support of the data centers and must be able to work in a goal setting environment
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of information systems technology
- Works with users, cross-functional technical staffs and all levels of management to translate requirements to develop processes and procedures
- Works with other operations and system management personnel to ensure accuracy and timeliness of production and non-production activities
- Provides support for data backups and specific software products and tools deployed within data center
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of information systems technology
- Periodic inspections of assigned data centers to ensure policies are being upheld
- Responsible for floor space allocations and related rack and rack peripheral infrastructure build out to accommodate hardware installations and moves
- Responsible for generating and communicating Data Center metrics
- Responsible for management of data center operations owned inventory
- Communicates provisions of data center policies and standards to the corporation and facilitates customer understanding of processes and procedures
- Plans and coordinates with various cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure present and future capacity/scalability
