Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. This hybrid role is responsible for supporting core HR functions, with an emphasis on recruitment and talent acquisition, payroll administration, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is an organized, people-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values collaboration and confidentiality.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates for various departments.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Post jobs on internal and external platforms, track applicants, and maintain recruitment metrics.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications.
  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a positive experience.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k), serving as the main point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
  • Support open enrollment and life event changes; coordinate with benefits brokers and carriers as needed.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HRIS/payroll system providers to resolve discrepancies or system issues.
  • Maintain employee records related to compensation, time off, and benefits in compliance with legal and company standards.

Employee Relations & HR Support

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and workplace issues.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives, including policy updates, and employee engagement programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of HR experience with a focus in recruiting, payroll, and employee relations.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, EEO, etc.).
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, UKG, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Experience in a multi-state or high-growth organization.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
