Position SummaryCurrently, we are looking for a part‑time Patient Care Coordinator/Physical Therapy Technician for our Wiggan Pkwy location in Henderson. The role will be cross‑trained for both front office operations and assisting as a physical therapy technician as needed.
Schedule needed: 20 – 25 hours per week Monday – Friday.
Bilingual in English & Spanish is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities – Patient Care Coordinator- Greeting warmly and maintaining a friendly, welcoming relationship with all patient care coordinators, and any external connections.
- Clearly communicating with all staff, including clinical and corporate employees, in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Answering phones and greeting patients with the utmost professionalism and care.
- Working closely with Billing Department, Physical Therapists and Aide staff to assure smooth patient flow.
- Maintaining patient confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential.
- Participating in and adhering to, as required, the HIPAA Policies and Procedures of Therapy Partner Group.
- Reviewing Copay collection reports and identifying accounts that may need to be reviewed.
- Auditing Journeys/Dashboard to ensure they are being worked on in a timely manner.
- Auditing Payer Direct Portal to ensure notes are being uploaded/AUTH’s pulled.
- Checking FOC Chats to ensure messages are being responded to and worked on.
- Chart audit day/s in advance to ensure we have charts with documents and AUTH’s as required.
- Preparing treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Preparing patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting patient into physical therapy apparel (shorts, gowns, etc.).
- Doing laundry, maintaining an ample supply of clean linens.
- Under direct supervision of and with co‑signature by, recording daily notes.
- Providing information to patients by answering questions and requests.
- Helping treat patients by applying ice or heat packs, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion; tracking walking time and distance; performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques as requested by PT.
- Educating patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
- Maintaining patient confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsli>
- Providing equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment area; positioning equipment for therapist access; positioning patient on equipment.
- Ensuring operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
- Maintaining physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and communicating to person in charge or ordering.
- Enhancing physical therapy department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments, is a team player.
- Collecting garbage at the end of each working day.
- Reporting any issues needing resolution to Physical Therapists.
- Proactively answering incoming phone calls before they route to voicemail; triaging each call to ensure a five‑star patient experience by appropriately assisting with appointment cancellations or reschedules, completing intake forms, or taking detailed messages for the Therapist or PCC as needed.
