** Job Description Summary
** Traveling with provider to patient homes, taking vital signs, assisting with patient procedures, scheduling appointments and managing patient flow, Maintaining medical records and updating patient information, and handling correspondence.
** How will you make an impact & Requirements
** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Back Office Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced medical practice. This role is a vital part of our clinical team, providing direct support to healthcare providers and ensuring a high standard of patient care. The ideal candidate will be a multitasking professional with excellent clinical and administrative skills, committed to maintaining a smooth and efficient patient flow.
** Job Duties Include
*** Take and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, and document patient history and chief complaints in the electronic health record (EHR).
* Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during in-office procedures.
* Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, such as blood and urine samples.
* Administer injections and medications
* Perform basic diagnostic tests, such as EKGs, ear lavage, monofilament, DRE
* Clean and sterilize medical instruments and sanitize exam rooms between patient visits.
* Manage patient records by accurately updating information in the EHR and prepping for next day appointments.
** Skills
* ** Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-centric approach.
* High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to accurately maintain patient information.
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
* A team player who can collaborate effectively with providers and other staff.
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
** Requirements:
*** Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
* Requires an active, current and valid Medical Assistant certification.
* Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) may be required.
* Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
* This position is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance
*** Compensation:**$21.00to $31.50
