Position SummaryThe Pharmacy Manager / PIC oversees safe and compliant pharmacy operations while delivering high‑quality specialty patient care. This role ensures accurate prescription verification, medication counseling, sterile compounding compliance, and effective oversight of pharmacy staff. The PIC collaborates across departments to support efficient referral intake, prescription fulfillment, and exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards (BOP, FDA, DEA, USP, ACHC, URAC, HIPAA).
- Review, verify, and dispense specialty medications; provide patient counseling.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff performance and documentation.
- Monitor drug therapies and recommend clinical interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with Intake, Nursing, Reimbursement, and Clinical teams to support seamless patient onboarding and care.
- Maintain pharmacy records, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Serve as escalation point for clinical or patient care concerns.
- Participate in staff training, on‑call rotation, and performance improvement activities.
- BS or Pharm
D from an ACPE‑accredited school of pharmacy. - Active, unrestricted Nevada Pharmacist License.
- Acute and chronic care experience.
- Sterile compounding experience; full USP compliance.
- Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacy therapies and patient onboarding.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Arizona Pharmacist License.
- 3+ years in specialty, infusion, hospital, retail, or mail‑order pharmacy.
- 1+ year in specialty pharmacy operations.
- Experience supervising pharmacy technicians.
- Familiarity with payer contracts and specialty pharmacy workflows.
- Experience with Care Tend and/or Good Clinical Practice certification.
