Market Director – Patient Care Services Quality – Enterprise, NV
The Market Director – Patient Care Services and Quality is responsible for leading the design, coordination, implementation and management of ambulatory practices related to quality, safety and clinical practice. This nursing leader identifies opportunities for improved ambulatory patient care, incorporating evidence‑based practices to improve patient outcomes for the market.
Essential Functions- Ensures non‑provider clinical practice complies with state, national and regulatory guidelines and that clinical competency assessments are completed to guarantee staffing adequacy.
- Facilitates the advancement of High‑Reliability Organization, patient safety and infection prevention initiatives within ambulatory clinic settings.
- Compiles, interprets data, prepares reports, and presents results to market, region or national leaders.
- Leads the market in defining improvement opportunities informed by quality indicators and patient safety reports/trends, communicating findings to leaders and committees.
- Leads quality teams, supports their development, identifies problems, collects data and monitors outcomes.
- Leads physicians, clinic leaders, staff and other health‑care professionals to improve safety and quality.
- Works collaboratively with clinical informaticists to optimize disease registry data utilization and quality reporting.
- Maintains quality management documents in an organized, confidential, secure manner.
- Provides leadership, oversight and guidance to clinic leaders supporting a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor of Nursing.
- Master of Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years progressive management responsibility in an ambulatory care setting, three (3) of which involve managing a quality improvement plan.
- Experience developing and implementing clinic, service and operational process improvement initiatives, both small and large scale.
Licensure
- Registered Nurse: NV
Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Current knowledge of regulatory requirements for ambulatory care services (e.g., state, federal, local regulations).
- Knowledge and expertise in performance improvement/CQI methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, LEAN).
