Senior Mechanical Engineer at Actalent – Las Vegas, NV
Job DescriptionActalent is seeking a full‑time Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team on site in Las Vegas, NV. The candidate will design, develop, and test mechanical systems for cutting‑edge electro‑optical products, collaborating closely with Electrical, Optical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams to advance concepts from design through production.
Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for products.
- Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis using FEA/CFD tools.
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings using Solid Works and AutoCAD.
- Support system integration and testing of mechanical and electro‑optical assemblies.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability.
- Contribute to prototype builds, reviews, and iterative development cycles.
- Proficiency in Solid Works and AutoCAD.
- Experience in mechanical design, finite element analysis, and CFD software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 3+ years.
- Design experience for machining, additive manufacturing, or other production methods within the past year or
