Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this is an exciting role for a motivated Sustainability Professional with an eye for detail. With a heavy focus on operational support, the role will continue the development of ESG systems across a diverse range of topics including Climate Change, Human Rights, Indigenous Engagement, and the Circular Economy.

Located in our corporate offices in Henderson, WA, this is a full-time corporate appointment offering long-term career security for a systems-driven individual.

The Role
  • Continue preparations for the upcoming climate‑related financial disclosure requirements in FY26, ensuring that the Company complies with Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS) S2.
  • Oversee the implementation of actions to address Modern Slavery and prepare the Annual Modern Slavery Statement.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor company‑wide ESG Objectives and Targets.
  • Maintain the ESG risk register and coordinate 3‑yearly Materiality Assessments.
  • Oversee the maintenance of company ESG reporting data and statistics for internal use and inclusion in external reporting.
  • Play an integral role in the development of the Sustainability report section of the Annual Report and oversee compliance with the Global Reporting Initiative.
  • Support and participate in community engagement activities and local community initiatives as part of Civmec’s commitment to social responsibility.
  • Ensure the Civmec Sustainability Committee is updated with relevant and timely information for decision-making as part of good governance.
  • Prepare reports for the Board of Directors on key ESG issues.
  • Maintain the company Environmental Management System (EMS) within the overarching Company integrated HSE Management System, adhering to ISO
    14001:2015.
  • Monitor compliance with other Company ESG commitments and obligations and resolve any issues or non‑compliance.
About You

To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:

  • Formal Qualifications OR training in Environmental Management (specialisation in ESG/Sustainability preferred).
  • Extensive experience (3+ years) in Environmental/ESG/Sustainability positions.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Lead ESG/Sustainability position (highly desirable).
  • Work history with Construction/Engineering/Maintenance Contractor/Resource Sector (highly desirable).
  • Experience in Sustainability Reporting, TCFD Reporting, and Modern Slavery Commitments.
  • A sound understanding of the ASRS.
