Overview
The Opportunity We are representing a high-growth leader in the supply chain sector seeking a sophisticated Accounting Consultant for a critical, part-time engagement. This is a "roll-up-your-sleeves" individual contributor role designed for a professional who excels in technical cleanup and audit readiness.
Ideal Candidate- Experience: 10+ years of accounting experience, ideally beginning in Public Accounting (Audit Manager level) followed by industry experience in Logistics or Manufacturing a plus.
- Technical Mastery: You are a "Power User" of Excel. You don’t just use VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables; you understand the logic behind complex data flows and can audit a workbook for integrity.
- Systems: Proficient in navigating mid-to-tier-1 ERP systems.
- Mindset: Highly self-sufficient. You are comfortable jumping into a new environment and producing results with "little to no direction."
- Hours:
Approximately 24 hours per week. - Schedule:
To start, the client prefers Monday through Wednesday (8 hours/day) to ensure alignment with the leadership team. Greater flexibility is available once you are acclimated. - Timeline:
This project is expected to run through at least April 2026.
- Audit Readiness: Take full ownership of cleaning up account reconciliations and GL entries to ensure a seamless year-end audit process.
- General Ledger Cleanup: Analyze and break down complex accounts, resolving historical discrepancies with minimal oversight.
- ERP Optimization: Navigate the ERP system to pull data, troubleshoot data flow, and assist with testing for an upcoming system upgrade.
- Advanced Reporting: Utilize expert-level Excel skills to manage extensive workbooks and prepare financial reports.
- Data Integrity: Identify formula errors within complex models, backtrack to the data source, and implement corrections.
