MAT/Recovery Care Nurse - Henderson Outpatient Clinic

This nurse will assist with the Medication assisted treatment and recovery care program as assigned by the MAT coordinator. Duties include but are not limited to; injections, intakes, inductions, assessments, follow up UDS and pill counts, client call back and scheduling. This position does travel to outlying clinics.

Assists with Physical Health care as needed. The nurse is a positive team player that promotes a culture of inclusion and participation.

Essential Functions:

• Practices within the scope of nursing as outline by KY State Board of Nursing.
• Maintains current KY state nursing license and CPR.
• Maintains and updates the client’s medications record to reflect medications used and to monitor potential adverse effects. Documents all medication activity in the client record. Requests KASPERS as directed by Physician.
• Obtains KASPERS as directed by Physician and forwards results to requesting provider for review and signature.
• Identifies and reports any known refill or health record errors.
• Maintains security of patient injectable medications in nurses’ office. Administers medications as ordered by providers with adherence to OSHA and state guidelines.
• Oversees the processing of applications for patient care assistance and maintain the security of the PAP medications until patients pick them up from our clinic.
• Obtains vital signs and documents results as required and when requested by providers.
• Completes client assessments, inductions, and follow up within the MAT program requirements.
• Attends MAT treatment team meetings and works in a team function to provide care.
