The Licensed Practice Manager (“LPM”) has accountability for all aspects of the location business operations. As a “people first” organization, the PM is a champion of their team through development programs of coaching, mentoring, and performance management. By creating memorable experiences with each patient, the PM is responsible for driving top‑line sales, increasing margin, controlling payroll expenses, and increasing profitability to meet the company’s overall business objectives.
Working directly with staff and OD partners to ensure professional eye exams and medical services are provided, quality product selection, acceptance of vision insurance plans, and remarkable patient service. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, patient care, and the “Acuity Way.”
- Apply leadership, creative thinking, and analytical skills to improve individual practice performance and solve operational issues.
- Build an effective team that works collaboratively to achieve results.
- Address the practice’s unique strengths and challenges with objectives, strategies, and plans.
- Establish clear objectives for staff, communicate expectations clearly, and set high performance standards.
- Set a standard for remarkable patient service and experience utilizing the Acuity Way.
- Identify and recruit top talent that matches AEG’s values, supporting long‑term sustainability.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
- Collect eye and face measurements to ensure proper fit.
- Interpret prescriptions written by optometrist and ophthalmologist.
- Work closely with the District Manager to exceed financial plans for the practice.
- Learn quickly and adapt to new problems, developing creative solutions.
- Have a relentless style to achieving results and sharing best practices within the AEG platform.
- Be a versatile learner, retaining an open mind when adapting to change.
- Marshal resources efficiently, orchestrating many activities to accomplish various goals through superior service.
- Review daily sales, identify gaps, and implement solutions to close those gaps.
- Reinforce the practice selling strategy and the Acuity Way.
- Protect the company through loss prevention.
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure employees are committed to handbook guidelines.
- 3-5 years of professional setting background with leadership capacity.
- State licensure.
- Optical dispensing experience.
- Business degree in hospitality, business, or related experience in management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Optician certification.
