BASIC FUNCTION: Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups typically in programs with exceptional children or equivalent programs; monitor and report student progress.

Instructional Assistant II incumbents work within a complex program typically requiring additional skills and characterized by increased independence of action.

Educational Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and supply proof of:

• A high school diploma and passed the Kentucky Para educator Assessment;
• or completion of a minimum of 48 semester hours of study at an institution of higher education;
• or an associate (or higher) degree.

Other Requirements: Requires a physical exam, TBrisk assessment, CAN check, state/national criminal background check and drug screen. 181 days; 7.25 hours per day.
This is for the 2026-27 school year.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $14.42 to $19.72 Per Year
