Position: GM Master Technician-1

The Automotive Service Master Technician at Buick GMC Henderson performs vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Compensation: $31 to $42+ per flat‑rate hour based on experience, training and certifications, with bonus components for longevity, proficiency and overrides.

Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Auto Technician or Auto Mechanic who will perform vehicle repairs in accordance with dealer and factory standards. You’ll deliver top‑notch work, ensure repairs are completed on time, and delight our customers. Daily interactions include customers, service advisors, technicians, parts associates, cashiers, sales associates and managers.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards.
  • Communicate regularly with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs (if authorized by the customer).
  • Conduct multi‑point inspections to recommend appropriate actions and ensure safety and reliability.
  • Document all work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
  • Maintain an inventory of technician tools not normally inventoried by the Service department.
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

Requirements for This Job
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years experience as an automotive technician.
  • Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organization and follow‑up skills.
  • Valid in‑state driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record.
