Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Hempstead, New York. This role requires an individual who can manage financial transactions efficiently and ensure accuracy in record-keeping. The ideal candidate will excel in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and utilizing accounting software to streamline operations.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring all payments are accurate and completed on time.

- Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and tracking payments.

- Utilize Quick Books software to maintain financial records and reconcile accounts.

- Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy to update financial databases.

- Review and process invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve issues.

- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.

- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions.

- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation as requested.

- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company procedures. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Proficiency in using Quick Books software.

- Strong data entry skills with keen attention to detail.

- Familiarity with invoice processing and related procedures.

- Ability to analyze and reconcile financial discrepancies.

- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

- Strong communication skills to liaise with vendors and colleagues.

- Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
