Salary & Allowance£37,870.30 - £39,673.67 plus 5% shift allowance.

About the roleWe are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP The Mount, a Category C male prison. Our Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to driving the smooth and safe operation, creating a safe and nurturing environment for prisoners, staff and visitors, and the wider community.
Key responsibilitiesAs a Carpenter Locksmith you will work alongside experienced colleagues from various trades – plumbers, electricians, painters, cleaners, administrators – to provide a safe and secure environment for all.
Qualifications- Substantiated experience in a similar role
- Competency in the use and operation of all associated power tools and machinery
- Basic IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements and up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
- City & Guilds, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification or substantial experience
- Good health and safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
Holidays are 25 days per year plus bank holidays.
