CNC Turner – Night shift

Salary: £20 per hour
Location: Near Hemel Hempstead
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday 7pm - 5am {4-day working week}

A leading precision engineering business near Hemel Hempstead is looking to add a skilled CNC Turner to their twilight shift team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, well-established company supplying high-spec components to the aerospace industry.

As a recruitment partner to this business, we’re supporting them in finding a capable and motivated machinist with strong CNC turning experience.

Monday to Thursday 7pm - 5am {4-day working week}

Clean, modern manufacturing facility

Consistent, long-term opportunity

• Operate and set CNC lathes (Fanuc-controlled Takisawa machines) to produce precision aerospace parts

• Manufacture small to medium batch components to tolerances of +/- 0.025mm (and occasionally +/- 0.0125mm)

• Work with a range of materials including stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and aluminium

• Assist in developing manufacturing methods for new products

• Maintain accurate job timings and contribute to continuous improvement activities on the shop floor

• Experience operating and setting CNC turning machines within aerospace or similar high-spec industry

• Competent with Fanuc controls; experience on CMZ or Takisawa machines is beneficial

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering instructions

• Self-sufficient and capable of identifying and solving machining issues

• Ideally apprentice-trained or qualified by experience
