Are you an experienced paediatric Occupational Therapist who is passionate about children with complex needs? We have a new and exciting opportunity for a band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the team based in Reading.
The Berkshire Healthcare CYPIT service is an integrated childrenstherapy service shaped around the needs of the child and family operating within the Children, Families and All Age Services Division (CFAA). We are structured within integrated teams consisting of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, as well as a strong integrated therapy assistant team based in locality areas within East Berkshire strategically focused on phases of life.
We work closely together to ensure wehave the greatest therapeutic impact, working both directly and indirectly with children, young people and families to enable them to achieve their goals.
Work as part of the Children and Young Peoples Integrated Therapy team under the direction of a Band 7 Operational Lead. You will function as an autonomous clinician with a role in supporting the delivery of the CYPIT service by contributing to defined project work.
Deliver a high standard of occupational therapy care to children with developmental and complex needs. You will evidence a high level of problem solving, reasoning skills and independence of judgement, using evidence-based practice and person-centred principles.
Contribute to our integrated model of service delivery and continued development of integrated working using an impact based clinical decision-making approach.
Investigate, interpret and analyse clinical and non-clinical facts to form accurate clinical diagnosis, evaluation and prognosis as part of the comprehensive assessment of patients, particularly those with a highly complex presentation, and to recommend the best course of intervention.
Be professional and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work including the management of patients in your care. To ensure a high standard of clinical care for the families and stakeholders under your management, and support more junior staff to do likewise.

Person Specification Experience- Experienced in working with Paediatric caseload in community and excellent clinical decision making essential.
- OT Qualification and experience mandatory.
- HCPC registration mandatory.
