Are you looking for a supportive team and the opportunity to develop new skills? This is an exciting time to join the Twilight Community Nursing service in West Herts. We are developing new community pathways which will support the delivery of more care in people’s homes, and to enable us to do this we have a range of new learning and development opportunities available through the CLCH Academy.
We are looking for a part‑time healthcare assistant with a genuine interest in continuing to develop skills in this field. You must be able to work flexibly according to service needs and have excellent organisational, time management and communication skills. The role is 4 pm – 8 pm, covering the four localities across the Herts Valleys.
You will be based at one of four sites within the Herts Valley area:
Watford (BRE), Hertsmere (Potters Bar Community Hospital), St Albans and Harpenden (Harpenden Memorial Hospital), and Hemel Hempstead (The Forum, Marlowes).

Responsibilities- Provide a mixture of general and specific care to a group of patients under the guidance of a registered nurse or allied health professional.
- Work in patients’ own homes as well as visiting patients in residential homes.
- Become proficient and competent in the area of practice by undertaking competency assessments specific to clinical practice.
- Promote optimum independence and individualised client‑centred care to a delegated caseload.
- Support the Community Nursing Team to deliver against key performance indicators and maintain the quality of the service.
- Provide service seven days per week during 4 pm‑8 pm across four localities in Herts Valley.
- A comprehensive induction into the community service followed by a local induction to introduce you to the role.
