Purchase Ledger Assistant, Immediate Start

Hemel Hempstead | Office-Based

Temporary - 3-4 weeks initially (with potential to extend)

We are urgently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant who can start ASAP to support a busy finance team based in Hemel Hempstead.

This is a great opportunity for someone with purchase ledger / accounts payable experience who is happy to come in, pick things up quickly, and provide hands‑on support during a busy period. There is also the potential for this to develop/be extended into a longer‑term assignment.

• Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
• Assisting with supplier account maintenance and basic reconciliations
• Supporting weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
• Helping with staff expenses and company credit card reconciliations
• Responding to supplier queries in a timely and professional manner
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad‑hoc tasks as needed

• Previous experience in a purchase ledger / accounts payable role (even at a basic level)
• Available to start immediately (ideally tomorrow)
• Good attention to detail and a reliable, hands‑on approach
• Comfortable working in an office‑based role
• Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
