Scope of Role

Given increased Group activity and expansion into new markets, we are looking for an ambitious finance assistant to support our finance team, based in our UK HQ in Hemel. Reporting into the Finance Team Lead, this is a dynamic role which incorporates the traditional aspects of an accounts payable function.

Responsibilities
  • Processing accounts payable invoices on internal ERP system for Group entities (UKI & USA)
  • Maintenance of open POs on system
  • Monitoring aged creditors
  • Processing month end payment runs for Group entities (UKI & USA)
  • Posting bank payments on ERP system
  • Maintenance of company credit cards
  • Balance sheet reconciliations; bank, credit cards etc.
  • Processing employee expenses
  • Posting intercompany transactions
  • Support Office Manager with administration duties on facilities issues and office support
  • Ad hoc support for billing team, as required
Requirements

A person applying for this rolemusthave:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role / accounting function necessary
  • Proficient MS Excel skills, ERP knowledge, banking functionality essential
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced office environment
  • Positive attitude and a pro-active approach to work
  • Great organisation skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
  • Excellent team player and strong ability to work on own initiative
  • Flexible approach to incumbent changes
Highly Desirable Attributes
  • Candidate would preferably have a relatable business degree / qualification
  • Familiarity with USA banking would be beneficial
