Position: Interim Tax Consultant (12 FTC)

Interim Tax Consultant (12 FTC) - Global Compliance, Reporting, Transfer Pricing

(Hybrid, 2 days in office requirement)

We're pleased to be supporting a prominent international group to appoint an interim Tax Consultant for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract in their central Group Tax team. This high-impact role is critical to maintaining robust global compliance, leading international tax reporting processes, transfer pricing and driving strategic readiness for major regulatory change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Group Tax Reporting Leadership: Manage the half‑year and year‑end tax reporting cycles, including agreeing on timelines, assigning resources, and producing the consolidated Annual Report and Accounts tax disclosures.
  • Transfer Pricing: Assist the Head of Group Tax with transfer pricing documentation and compliance efforts.
  • Compliance Oversight: Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and manage key compliance requirements.
  • Regulatory Change Management: Lead the Group's project for Pillar Two readiness, managing the impacts of this significant regulatory change across the organisation.
  • Audit and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for tax auditors and the core audit team.
  • Policy &

    Risk Management:

    Draft and maintain the Group Tax Policy and Strategy.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor managers within the Group Tax team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Value Creation: Oversee R&D and Patent Box claims
    , identifying opportunities to maximise value within legal limits, and actively explore tax technology solutions to streamline processes.
  • Change & Systems: Act as a key Change Champion for broader Group Tax initiatives.
Candidate Profile
  • Qualifications: A recognised accounting and/or tax qualification (ACA, CTA, or equivalent) is required.
  • Technical Expertise: Essential experience in group tax reporting and compliance within a large organisation. Must be well‑versed in the ever‑changing tax regulatory landscape.
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication skills—able to concisely articulate complex tax concepts to non‑tax personnel (verbally and written). Comfortable and confident dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Proven experience in business partnering, with the ability to take a strategic view of projects and assess their wider implications across a complex global organisation.
  • Mindset: A dynamic individual who prioritises continuous improvement
    , leverages technology, and demonstrates a low ego mentality when collaborating across functions.
  • Sector Experience (Preferred): Experience from industry is preferred; otherwise, a background in a multi‑disciplinary, client‑facing practice role is beneficial.
