Sales​/Applications Engineer

We have an applications engineering opportunity with one of the worlds big players within electrical power suppliers. This business has won awards for innovation and design, and their products are widely regarded as the most efficient and effective in their industry.

This role sits within a specialist engineering group supporting sales activity. You’ll work closely with Sales Managers to understand customer requirements; design tailored solutions and present these back in a clear and engaging way. It’s a mix of discovery calls, preparing proposals and specifications, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure designs are both feasible and competitive.

Role Breakdown:

Attending discovery calls and helping scope technical requirements
Meeting UK customers to understand their challenges and build tailored solutions
Preparing presentations, documentation, quotations and system drawings
Coordinating with engineering teams to refine designs and ensure compliance
Supporting sales colleagues with all technical questions

What we’re looking for?

Any previous sales/applications or support engineering experience is preferred
Electrical engineering competence:
Ideally degree or HND/HNC
Personality:
Strong communicator, proactive, energetic, able to work independently
Nice to have: experience with critical infrastructure, data centre solutions, AC or DC, CRM and SAP systems
