This is a wonderful opportunity to join my client, a highly-regarded, industry-leading Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for delivering their expertise throughout the engineering and environmental landscapes, delivering major, exciting projects across the UK. They are searching for a skilled, motivated Principal Hydrologist, willing to lead a high-performing team and deliver on an extensive range of projects, whilst contributing to Business Development (BD) activities.
You will be based near the green, historical town of Hemel Hempstead.

- Lead the preparation of technical documents for submission, to include Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), etc.
- Manage projects, delivering them to schedule and within budget
- Liaise closely with a range of important clients and other stakeholders, such as the Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA), etc.
- Check and amend technical documents (e.g., models, calculations, reports, etc.) prepared by colleagues
- Actively identify and contribute to Business Development opportunities and activities
- Manage and mentor other hydrological colleagues
- Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised Professional Body (e.g., CIWEM, etc.)
- Extensive experience of working in a hydrological role, within a UK-based consultancy (or Local Authority) setting
- Excellent proficiency in the use of relevant software systems, including FEH, WINFAP, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, WinDES, and AutoCAD
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Technically-minded with excellent report-writing skills
- A higher qualification in a relevant discipline
- Hold a full, valid UK Driving Licence
