Salary: £34,398 – £36,373 per annum (M1 Pay Scale)

Salary will be paid at M1 on the Main Pay Scale, suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) starting or completing their induction.

About the Role

Teach-Now is recruiting an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (Science) for a welcoming secondary school in Brent, North West London. This full-time position begins in September 2026 and is an excellent opportunity for an ECT looking to develop their teaching career within a supportive and collaborative department.

You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics while helping students develop curiosity, analytical thinking and practical investigation skills. The role offers a structured ECT induction programme, with mentoring, coaching and professional development to support your growth as a teacher.

The school has modern science laboratories, strong behaviour expectations and a focus on helping students achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

• Support students in developing scientific understanding and enquiry skills

• Use assessment to track progress and support student achievement

• Deliver safe and effective practical investigations

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and participation

• Contribute to the wider Science department and school community

Requirements

To be considered for this role you must have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be completing your teacher training

• A degree in a Science-related subject

• Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry or Physics

• Passion for inspiring young people in science

• Commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
