We are excited to offer a full-time, permanent position for a Primary SEN (SEMH) Teacher at a dedicated specialist provision in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, starting in January 2026. This role is ideal for someone with experience or a strong interest in working with children who have SEMH needs. For the right candidate, there is also potential for a TLR linked to leadership in an area such as behaviour support, curriculum development, or pastoral care.

In this role, you will:
- Teach a small class of primary pupils with SEMH needs, supported by experienced teaching assistants
- Develop and deliver creative, individualised lessons that engage and support pupils at different developmental levels
- Foster emotional regulation, resilience and self-esteem through a trauma-informed approach
- Collaborate with therapists, support staff, families and external agencies to support holistic development
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, with potential to lead on key areas (if applying for TLR)
- A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience or a strong interest in working with children with SEMH
- A patient, compassionate and resilient practitioner who understands the importance of emotional development alongside academic progress
- Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to inclusive, child-centred education
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- A reflective educator willing to adapt, learn and grow with the role
- Applications welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs with a passion for SEN
- A supportive and forward-thinking specialist setting focused on nurturing and progress
