Position: Salaried GP with a view to Partnership

We are looking for a GP to complement our friendly team of partners and salaried GPs providing quality care to a list of nearly 15,000 patients. We have an opportunity for a GP interested in a 6-session salaried with view to partnership in our respected, and forward-thinking training practice.

We have developed a hub model that separates out on the day from routine GP care. We aim to provide good online and face to face access for patients with urgent problems but also provide continuity for those with more complex needs.

As part of our multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will contribute to delivering comprehensive healthcare to our diverse patient population. Key responsibilities include managing patients with acute and chronic conditions, offering preventive health services, conducting medication reviews, and collaborating on personalised care planning.

We are looking for a GP with excellent communication skills, strong clinical expertise, and a commitment to a patient-centered approach.

General Practice is hard work, but we aim to provide high quality care at the same time as sustaining a healthy work/life balance. We are committed to training and career development for GPs, nurses and our growing team of allied health care practitioners.

Main duties of the job

Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the practice.

Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.

Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.

Prescribing in accordance with the local ICB prescribing formulary whenever this is clinically appropriate.

To opportunistically complete the necessary checks and record appropriate data to support the practice in meeting QoF and other local health targets, attaining GMS contract quality points.

Lunchtime clinical/training meetings are held weekly to facilitate MDT discussion and peer support. Morning coffee gives you the opportunity to meet peers and the wider clinical team.

Surgery start times can be flexible, but the post holder should normally be available between 8.00am and 6.00pm on each working day.

You will perform comprehensive clinical examinations and assessments, addressing both physiological and psychological needs, and developing care plans with timely referrals in accordance with practice, PCN, and local guidelines. Prescribing independently within your scope of practice, you will adhere to local or national prescribing guidelines while promoting health strategies that empower patients to adopt healthier lifestyles and embrace self-care.
