Senior Quantity Surveyor

A leading UK main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to deliver new build industrial projects across Hertfordshire.

This role offers the opportunity to take full commercial responsibility for high‑quality schemes with values of up to £30 million
, working within a well‑respected and growing construction business.

• Full commercial management of new build industrial projects from pre‑construction to final account
• Preparing and controlling project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
• Procuring and managing subcontractor packages
• Handling valuations, variations, and change control
• Producing accurate monthly cost/value reports
• Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
• Working closely with project and site teams to ensure commercial and operational success

• Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role (or an experienced Project QS ready to step up)
• Background working for a main contractor
• Strong experience delivering industrial or commercial new build projects
• Ability to manage projects up to £30m in value
• Solid understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (preferred)

• Salary up to £80,000 depending on experience
