Job OverviewWe are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Nursery Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in childcare and have a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This role offers flexible hours to accommodate various schedules and work-life balance needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met
- Plan, implement, and evaluate activities that support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing information with parents and colleagues
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children, parents, and visitors
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain high standards of care
- Adhere to all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and equal opportunities
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring all equipment and resources are properly stored and maintained
- Assist with meal times, nappy changes, and other routine care tasks as needed
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and caregivers, providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns
- Level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent
- Thorough understanding and practical experience with the EYFS framework
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach to childcare
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
- Current Pediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Enhanced DBS check (we will assist with this process)
- Right to work in the UK
- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early years education
- Experience with various age groups within the 0-5 year range
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and regulations
- Ability to use technology for record-keeping and communication purposes
- Creative approach to planning and implementing activities
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and focused in challenging situations
- Temp to perm opportunity giving you chance to test the nursery before a full commitment
