Semi Senior Accountant

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Semi Senior Accountant to join our client's dynamic finance team in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

You will have at least two years experience working in a UK firm of accountants

This permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who is actively involved in producing year-end accounts, bookkeeping, managing VAT returns, or handling personal tax. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, supporting clients with VAT submissions, maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, and assisting senior staff with year-end procedures. The role requires a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a team environment.

You will be expected to demonstrate strong communication skills and a good understanding of accounting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.

• AAT qualified or equivalent experience
• Experience producing year-end accounts
• Strong bookkeeping background
• Knowledge of VAT returns and personal tax
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience of working in a UK firm of accountants.
