The Opportunity
A major hyperscale data centre project in Finland is about to commence construction and requires a Senior Quality Manager to take ownership of quality delivery from the very start.
This role offers the opportunity to be embedded from day one, setting the quality strategy, systems and standards before work accelerates on site. The project has a minimum 18-month duration and is entering its build phase at the end of the month.
This is a senior leadership position suited to a Quality Manager who prefers building quality in upfront, rather than being brought in later to resolve defects, rework or programme risk.
Why This Role Is Different
This role exists to establish control early, not recover it later.
You will be responsible for:
Defining how quality is delivered on the project from the outset
Embedding right-first-time principles across MEP and CSA packages
Influencing delivery teams before pressure builds, rather than reacting to issues downstream
The mandate is clear: strong foundations, clear standards, and no quality drift as the project scales.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will take full ownership of quality delivery across the project.
You will lead the project quality team, implement robust QA and QC systems, and work closely with package leads, subcontractors and the client to ensure quality is maintained from installation through testing, commissioning and handover.
This is a hands-on leadership role on a live hyperscale build, not a document-heavy or audit-only position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the project quality team and manage performance and development
Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan
Establish all site-based QA and QC procedures, controls and systems
Audit quality performance continuously against agreed KPIs
Review technical specifications and develop Inspection and Test Plans
Train project teams and subcontractors on quality standards and expectations
Manage internal, external and client audits through to close-out
Chair weekly quality meetings with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
Publish clear and consistent quality metrics and reporting
Identify quality risks early and implement preventative controls
Work with package leads to enable early testing and system handover
Ensure quality documentation is controlled, accessible and consistently used
Drive a zero snags and zero rework standard at system completion
Experience & Background Required
10+ years' experience in Quality Management or QA/QC on large construction projects
Proven experience on hyperscale data centres or mission-critical environments
Strong understanding of MEP and CSA quality management
Track record of delivering high-quality, low-defect projects
Confident leader with experience managing and developing teams
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Degree in QA/QC, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience
Able to operate at both strategic planning and site execution level
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments
EU passport required, no sponsorship available
What You Gain
Opportunity to shape quality delivery from project inception
Senior leadership role on a flagship hyperscale data centre build
Clear authority and backing to set standards early
Immediate start with 18+ months of secured work
Competitive salary and rotational package
Exposure to one of Europe's most demanding mission-critical projects
Apply
All applications will be handled in strict confidence.
If you are a senior Quality Manager who wants to be involved from the ground up, setting standards rather than correcting failures, this is a strong opportunity to make a lasting impact on a major hyperscale project
