As a Technical Training Instructor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of defence capability. You’ll design and deliver high-quality technical training for Weapons Engineers (Submarines) that specialise in Communications Information Systems, for internal teams and external customers, ensuring our people are equipped with the skills they need to support mission‑critical operations.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll develop and deliver training courses for new equipment and services in line with the DSAT process. Additionally, you’ll be:

• Attending meetings on behalf of the Training Manager to assess training implications and risks
• Managing key and crypto material in accordance with security protocols
• Conducting training needs analysis to identify practical and cost‑effective solutions
• Collaborating with engineering, product development, and operations teams to gather technical insights

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.

• Communicating effectively across teams and stakeholders
• Working proactively and flexibly within a small, focused team
• Understanding of data communications and RF/Radio engineering – desirable
• Experience working alongside UK military customers – desirable
• Royal Navy background – desirable

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
