Overview
Cooney Healthcare & Rehabilitation is currently searching for an experienced Director of Maintenance.
Responsibilities- Maintenance Director Responsibilities:
Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, electrical equipment, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, lifts and stocks supplies. - Take care of the tools and equipment.
- Must be able to use and operate the following equipment: all garden equipment (shovel, lawn mower, hoe, rake, grass trimmer, hand tools, etc.), carpenter tools and equipment (saws, sander, wrench, etc.), plumbing tools and equipment, painting tools and equipment, electrical tools and equipment, all heating and cooling tools and equipment (boiler, furnace, water heater, air conditioning units, etc.), housekeeping tools and equipment, appliance repair tools and equipment, general maintenance tools, van, truck, ladder, etc.
- Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
- Completion of orientation required by company policy.
- Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
- Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
- Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
- Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year experience in Maintenance.
