Location:

Helena, MT. Pay: $21.00-$23.00/hour. Available schedules:
Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri 7:30am - 5:30pm;

The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring the premises, patrolling a variety of locations, preserving order, and enforcing regulations for client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Officers frequently provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Respond to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force may be required.
• Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community.
• Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and other observed issues.
• Conduct security screening of all persons entering facilities to ensure prohibited items are not entering.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and have the ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone.
• Meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Calm, polite, and professional behavior
• High level customer service
• PSR evaluation required
• Military, law enforcement or armed security experience
