Position Overview

In this role, you’ll operate a loader to ensure proper supply of materials to the asphalt plant, trucks, and other assigned areas, playing an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Wage: Starting at $20 + /hr DOE w/ potential for overtime

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently within its designed parameters.
  • Ensure necessary supply of materials for asphalt plant & crusher are available.
  • Load trucks with proper materials for delivery.
  • Fuel, oil, grease and check other necessary loader parts to ensure proper function of equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Equipment and Site premises.
  • Perform general maintenance and repair on equipment as assigned.
  • Assist other departments with maintenance, operations, and/or other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material or equipment.
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance and punctuality.
  • Must pass pre‑employment physical exam and pre‑employment‑controlled substance testing.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.
  • Demonstrates the ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT and all other company or state rules and regulations.
  • Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
  • Valid Drivers License
Preferred Requirements
  • Mechanical skills including knowledge of machines, tools, equipment, mechanic’s hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting equipment, lubricating tools, hoists, cranes, service trucks, electrical testing, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Previous asphalt production and/or production related experience preferred.
  • Previous equipment operation experience highly preferred.

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
