The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Rural Health Transformation Program.

The Reporting & Visualization Analyst serves as the data display for the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). This position translates complex RHTP data and analytical findings into clear, actionable dashboards, scorecards, infographics, and reports for internal and external stakeholders. The analyst designs and maintains user‑friendly visualizations that align with enterprise business intelligence (BI) platforms and style guides, ensuring a consistent “single source of truth” for RHTP performance information.

The role works closely with the RHTP data infrastructure and data science positions, as well as the Department’s central analytics team to diverse audiences including CMS, state leadership, legislators, tribal governments, rural health providers, and community partners.

The incumbent participates in department‑wide business intelligence and reporting communities of practice, helping promote data visualization best practices, reduce conflicting reports, and ensure data products meet the needs of both technical and non‑technical users.

Why Join DPHHS

Our mission at DPHHS is serving Montanans in their communities to improve health, safety, well‑being, and empower independence. By joining the RHTP team, you’ll help shape the future of rural health care in Montana.
