Job Summary
This role supports executive leadership by providing strategic analysis and recommendations to enable the medical policy and utilization management teams to achieve membership and margin goals.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with business/market owners to identify key issues, apply analytical frameworks, and develop solutions and recommendations.
- Manage major strategy projects, utilizing internal and external consulting resources.
- Act as subject‑matter expert on membership, growth, and operational strategy for Strategic Operations staff and stakeholders.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and participate in performance reviews and development planning.
- Develop best‑practice analytical frameworks and methodologies for strategy issues.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Economics or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience at a strategy or management consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Booz‑Allen, Accenture Strategy, Deloitte Strategy) or internal strategy groups of healthcare companies.
- 6 years of related experience in business or healthcare.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of progressive strategic experience in lieu of a Master’s degree.
- Extensive knowledge of health insurance and/or provider operations.
- Experience in operational improvement.
- Strong understanding of membership, rates, financial, economic, and competitive data.
- Knowledge of medical policy.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and challenges.
- Strong critical thinking, communication and presentation skills.
0% – 25% travel required.
CompensationPay range: $92,300 – $172,500.
