The Construction and Facilities Management Office (CFMO) is the principal advisor to the Montana Adjutant General regarding all real property, facilities, construction, and environmental management programs for the Montana Army National Guard (MTARNG). CFMO manages over 1,600 assets: roughly 2M square feet of facility space and 32,000 acres of land.
CFMO is seeking a Planner to develop, coordinate, and execute strategic and tactical plans for military facilities and infrastructure projects under the direction of the Planner Supervisor.
Duties- Coordinates planning efforts for Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (SRM) and Military Construction (MILCON) project development.
- Assists in the development of the annual MTARNG Real Property Development Plan (RPDP) with its components to include the Long‑Range Construction Plan (LRCP) for federal programming.
- Analyzes existing facilities and properties against requirements, regulatory guidance, and Commander’s intent to identify shortfalls and project opportunities.
- Assists in the development of annual reporting and analysis schedule for RPLANS, Army Stationing and Installation Planning (ASIP), Headquarter Installations Information System (HQIIS), and Planning Resources for Infrastructure Development and Evaluation (PRIDE).
- Performs quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) of data top loads, local data input, and extrapolated outcomes.
- Must have demonstrated ability to work and engage in diverse working environments within and outside the Department.
- Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in engineering, planning or military staff work or other closely related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities planning, project management, military infrastructure development, or military staff work.
- Other equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state funding cycles and military planning regulations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in database systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to synthesize complex data and develop actionable plans.
- Preferred candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with Army National Guard (ARNG) stakeholders.
- Knowledge of SRM and MILCON programs is highly desirable.
Salary: $35.64 hourly
Telework Eligibility: Telework eligible; full‑time telework not available. Telework schedule must be supervisor approved.
