To provide statewide leadership, oversight and policy direction for the designing, implementation and continuous improvement of Montana's Content Standards with a primary emphasis on Science education, while supporting coherence across curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning.

• Designs effective presentations for educators on standards, curriculum, instruction, and classroom assessment in related curriculum/content area.
• Positively interacts and builds relationships with colleagues and other educators through active listening and demonstrating familiarity with educational issues.

• Minimum of 3 years teaching Science, bachelor’s in science or elementary ed, preferred master's in Science.
• Understanding principles of effective teaching and learning.
• Knowledge of principles of effective professional development and adult education.
• Knowledge of K-12 learning standards and frameworks and evidence-based instructional strategies, including Montana Science Standards and Indian Education for All’s Essential Understandings.
• Experience with online, blended, and face-to-face professional development presentations.
