Cost Accountant

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost data to support operational and financial decision-making. The position requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with internal and external standards.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Calculate and manage product or item costs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

+ Develop and maintain bills of materials to support production and operational needs.

+ Update and review standard cost data on a regular basis for reliable financial reporting.

+ Oversee month-end processes and ensure required documentation is completed on schedule.

+ Participate in inventory counts and valuation at designated facilities.

+ Provide detailed analysis and documentation for production or item builds.

+ Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts to support organizational planning.

+ Prepare special reports and support continuous improvement projects as assigned.

+ Assist with internal and external audits, including meeting reporting requirements.

+ Document and help implement business processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong knowledge of standard cost accounting and cost analysis methodologies.

- Proficiency in managing annual standard cost operations.

- Solid understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles.

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate professionally.

- Familiarity with financial reporting and audit processes.

- Proficient in technology tools relevant to cost accounting tasks.
