Assistant Pastry Chef

Overview

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented Pastry Chef who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, and community as we are. In the role of Pastry Chef, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team offering a menu of more than 40 fresh baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins made with honest, whole ingredients.

• Proven track record of demonstrating strong kitchen skills, from following recipes to paying close attention to details to create high-quality pastries and baked goods. Includes lifting dough, flour, and other supplies up to 50 lbs and standing, lifting, and mixing as part of daily duties.
• The ability to adapt to change and stay flexible while monitoring what is cooking.

• 1+ years of large-scale baking/pastry experience with experience in decorating pastries (preferred, not required).
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handling and sanitation standards.
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for the role.
