Are you interested and passionate about public policy and community outreach? The Herbert Institute for Public Policy is seeking a Research Assistant to support our work on topics such as federalism, free speech, digital identity, and how policy shapes our communities. You'll work directly with students, faculty, and others to ensure the successful and timely completion of projects; collect and analyze data;
develop written reports; and assist with the design and execution of events and activities in association with community partners and local, state, and federal government leaders. Now is your opportunity to get involved and make a difference!

Responsibilities- Serves as a member of a team researching various civic engagement projects.
- Works directly with campus and community partners to assure the successful and timely completion of projects.
- Collects and analyzes data and develops written reports.
- Assists with the design and execution of events and activities in association with local government leaders and community partners.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent education plus one year of related experience.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in graphic design, digital media, social media, or general marketing.
- Knowledge of research design and procedures, specifically in approaches anchored in design thinking.
- Skills in conducting interviews, focus groups, surveys, and general research design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to produce professional-quality research, writing, and findings in a timely manner.
