Position: Teller/New Accounts Representative

Part‑time Teller / New Accounts Representative – Heber Branch

Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a part‑time Teller/New Accounts Representative for our Heber branch.

About

The Role

Assist customers and potential customers with friendly, accurate, and timely assistance. Provide solution‑based banking services and products and assist with client inquiries and complaint resolution. Handle financial transactions, including cash, negotiable instruments, and gift cards.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and process customer financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, cashier’s checks, fund transfers, and sell gift cards nerve. Maintain and heureux drawer daily while adhering to transaction limits.
  • Become proficient in the bank’s products and services to provide solution‑based recommendations to customers.
  • Resolve customer concerns within authority and appropriately elevate them. Answer phones, process wire transfers, stop payments, check orders, and create debit cards.
  • Provide excellent customer service and deepen relationships by following established customer service standards.
  • Open and close branch as schedule deems necessary.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frames.
  • Actively work on the Summit Progression Program to learn and develop assigned skills.
  • Adhere to job’s core values.
  • Keep management informed of area activities and significant problems.
  • Participate in community service and bank‑sponsored activities that support the mission.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, respect, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Maintain a tidy work area and respect customer privacy.
  • Ensure regular, predictable, and timely attendance.
  • Duties can evolve over time.
Schedule

Mon‑Fri, 12:00–18:00.

Entry Rate

$17.00+/hour.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • At least six months of similar or related experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong attention to detail with numbers and names.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional interaction with diverse customers.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities through time‑management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

Work Environment

No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. Routine office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.) is used.

Physical Demands

Must sit for 6–8 hrs/day, use hands in repetitive motions, stand or walk occasionally, lift or reach with hands and arms, and operate routine office equipment. Off‑site travel may be required. Ability to climb or descend stairs in emergencies is necessary.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary depends on experience and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings account, Employee Assistance Program, 401(k) and Profit‑Sharing plans, short‑term and long‑term disability, education & training benefits, paid time off, paid holidays, and state‑specific holiday pay for eligible employees. PTO accrues at 0.0745 hrs per hour worked for part‑time employees.
