Accountant, Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst

Position Overview

Looking for an accountant to help part-time or full-time to help manage day-to-day accounting functions related to construction projects, ensuring accurate job cost tracking, timely pay applications, and strong financial reporting. This role works closely with ownership, estimators, project managers, and superintendents to keep projects financially organized and profitable.

• Manage job cost accounting and cost code tracking
• Process subcontractor pay applications and lien waivers
• Prepare owner billings (AIA / progress billing)
• Track budgets vs. actuals and produce project-level financial reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Oversee W-9s, 1099s, and vendor compliance
• Assist with loan draws and lender reporting
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
• Assist with monthly financial statements
• Support CPA with year-end tax preparation

• Accounting experience (construction preferred)
• Strong understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
• Experience with Quick Books
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, cost tracking)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Strong communication skills

• Experience with multi-entity real estate structures
• Familiarity with construction loans, and draw schedules
• Experience with lien waivers and compliance documentation
