Customer Service Specialist – Walgreens

Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $17.50/hr

• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Register sales on the assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
• Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
• Recommend items for sale to customers, including trade‑up/companion items.
• Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
• Keep counters, shelves clean and well merchandised; take inventory and maintain records.
• Check in and price merchandise as required by store manager or shift leader.
• Implement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
• Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise.
• Assist with separation of food items, stock rotation, and restock outs.
• Use store systems and equipment.
• Provide customer service in the photo area (digital passport photo, poster print, etc.).
• Assume web pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, pick items, deliver orders).
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat store condition.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Attend required training and complete PPLs as requested by Manager or corporate.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
